Abe Munn often called "Moon" because that is the way he pronounce it,
was a guide in the early days of Salmon fishing around Boiestown,
New Brunswick.
He tied this fly in 1925, it seems to be the earliest named fly
on the Miramichi River. This dressing of the fly is the original
dressing that Abe created.
DRESSING:

merging together and extending a little beyond the bend of
the hook

extremely small bunch of Oak Turkey fibers. The brown hackle

extending no more than the tip of the point of the hook.
The Oak Turkey is somewhat shorter, and very sparse

wing section extending very slightly beyond the bend of the
hook to a point halfway of the tail. The wing is applid low and
close to the body.
